Why Creativity?
Why should you add more Creativity to your life?
Well - let us ask you a few questions before we try to give you our answer.
- How often do you feel like you’re in a rut?
- How often does the day just seem to drag on and on?
- How often do you think it would be nice to have or do something new in your life?
- How often do you find yourself flipping the tv channel or surfing the web because you’re “bored” or can’t think of anything else to do?
Do any of these questions strike a chord with you? If so, we’re hear to help change that. Here is why Creativity is important.
Creativity changes people and things.
Having a creative outlook means that you see other people and things with a different perspective. You notice differences and similarities that few other people ever think to look for. Your horizons expand, your enthusiam for every day increases. You begin to actively look for new experiences, new ways to express yourself. You see new ways that common items, ideas and word might be used.
As you begin to see new connections, new ideas and concepts, you begin to express them to others. Some of your existing friends and family will join you in your creativity quest. Some won’t. You will begin to draw other creative people into your life and together you will all spark each others’ creativity into more areas.
Being Creative is Simple!
Does that statement make you laugh? Have you experienced writer’s block or a slump in your creative direction?
Creativity comes in all sizes and in as many forms as you can imagine - in fact, Creativity is only limited by your imagination. Being Creative doesn’t have to be intimidating - all it takes is a different way of seeing or understanding something.
- You have writer’s block? So change gears - do something completely different.
- Can’t decide on anything to do? Pretend you’re someone else - a co-worker, friend, or character from a book or game - and look at your options from their perspective.
- Feeling uncreative and unmotivated at work? Step outside your work area and ask someone else about their job. Now pretend their job is yours. Or pretend you are your co-worker and describe your job from their point of view.
